1851 Pattern Colt Navy Percussion Revolver .36

This is a good example of a Navy pattern with most of its bluing intact. The serial number stamped on the brass grip frame, trigger frame, cylinder frame and barrel frame is “201306” indicating the piece was manufactured in 1867.

The cylinder bears the serial number “107010”

The top of the barrel reads “Address Col. Saml Colt New-York US”.

The trigger frame is stamped on the left side “.36 Cal”.

~ Dimensions ~

The barrel is 7 ½ inches (19 cm) long and the overall length of the piece is 13 inches (33 cm).

It weighs 1.16 Kg.

~ Condition ~

The revolver half cocks, cocks, indexes and releases with a strong spring.

The metalwork preserves most of its bluing.

There is some age pitting on it, but is not serious.

The wooden grips remain in fair condition with a period repair.
