~ 1846 Pattern Royal Naval Officer's Sword by Gieve's for J.M.K ~

The design of the 1846 Pattern Naval Sword was based on the earlier 1827 Pattern, with some modifications. This sword was made by “Gieve’s”  and features the initials J.M.K. The blade is straight and single-edged, measuring approximately 81 centimeters (32 inches) in length. It features a narrow fuller (groove) running along most of the blade's length to reduce weight and increase balance. This is an iconic British ceremonial sword and would be great for any collection.

~Condition~

This sword is in great condition with minimal wear to the blade. The brass hilt is undamaged with a light patina. The scabbard is strong and intact. Please see pictures for more detail as they form part of our condition report.
