~ 1821 Pattern Light Cavalry Officers Sword And Scabbard ~

The gently curved, etched blade bears a proofing star and makers mark to the ricasso, the latter too worn to be read. It has a three-quarter length fuller. The guard has three bars and a wire bound, sharkskin grip. It comes with its steel field scabbard.

~ Condition ~

The blade retains clear etchings, it is missing its tip, the edge is free from nicks. The grip is complete, if worn, with intact and firm wire bindings. The guard is pitted with light corrosion. The scabbard is complete, free from dents but again pitted with light corrosion.

~ Dimensions ~

The sword is 83 cm (33 inches) in length with a 68.5 cm (27 inches) blade.
