~ WW1 British Brodie Mark 1 Helmet Worn By 2nd Lieutenant Louis Anthony Loup ~

Here we have a First World War British MK1 steel helmet worn by 2nd Lieutenant Louis Anthony Loup (later General Loup CBE) who was a special reserve with the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Regiment (Sherwood Forester) with which he served on the Western Front, thereafter serving with the 2nd Gurkha Rifles in 1917. The helmet complete with liner and chinstrap and has a sand textured finish. It is sold with documentation relating to its provenance.

~ Condition ~

The helmet is in good order. There is one shallow ding to the top, the liner is complete as is the chin strap. The textured sand finish has loss.

~ Dimensions ~

The helmet is 32 cm (12.25 inches) long and 29 cm (11.5 inches) wide.
