This is an Officer’s sword from the WW1 Era. The blade is marked with the maker’s name and location - “Rob Mole & Sons, Birmingham, Makers to the War and India Offices”. This sword’s Company records were discovered in 1988. These detail Government and India Office contracts from 1852-1919 and Private and Trade customers from 1903-1920. On the top edge of the blade, near the base, is the number M6793 inscribed.

*Condition*

This sword is in good condition for its age and use with no significant damage but some pitting across the blade. The hilt is in very good condition with some minor marks and scratches but the pommel is missing. Please see pictures for more detail.
