This is a machine gunner’s leather jerkin from WW2. These jackets became very popular during the first world war as they protected against the cold but also allowed for the wearer to have sufficient mobility when operating weaponry or driving. The jerkin is made from leather with Bakelite buttons. It has four buttons and is lined with khaki wool.

This jerkin is in very good condition for its age and usage. There are some minor scratches to the leather but no significant damage.
