~ WW1 Period George V Royal Navy Sword With EIIR Grip ~

A nice example of a very long service Royal Navy sword with its scabbard.

The blade is nicely engraved with King George Vth crown and cypher and bears the proof star.

The basket is an Elizabeth IInd piece alongside the grip, which have been changed when the sword was reused later in its life. It is very clear that the sword was professionally refurbished in the 1960's.

~ Condition ~

The piece has the expected signs of use. The brass has some scratches and minor loss of gild.

The scabbard has been maintained in good order and has wear marks and refurbishment marks.
