~ Scratch Built Waterline Model Boat Of The Trawler ‘Navena’ FD172 ~

A scratch built, one-off, solid body waterline model of the MFV trawler ‘Navena’ (FD172).

Navena was launched in 1959 by Cochranes of Selby for J Marr & son, Fleetwood and registered as FD172.

In 1973 while on her way to the fishing grounds of the Faroe Islands she was driven ashore in severe gales at Copinsay in the Orkneys, all the crew were saved but she was a total loss.

The model is of solid wood construction with some nice detailing including crew members.

She is set on a choppy sea on a flat baseboard.

The model (on base) measures 40.5cm (16 inches) by 15cm (6 inches) with a height of 15cm (6 inches).

It weighs 975g

~ Condition ~

The model is in a very nice condition with no damage.
