1960s Metropolitan Police Officer’s Set

60s Met Policeman’s Truncheon, Armband and Handcuffs

This is a set of items that would have belonged to a Met Police Officer in the 1960s. The set includes a pair of Hiatts handcuffs in their leather pouch, an armband and a wooden truncheon. The truncheon is 40cm long (just under 16 inches) and the handcuffs do not come with a key. The truncheon is marked “31” and has its original leather strap.

*Condition*

The armband is slightly discoloured from its age and has a few minor marks. The handcuffs are in great condition with very minor scratches and a small mark on the pouch. The baton is also in great condition with a couple of minor marks. Please see pictures for more detail as they form part of our condition report.
