WW2 German Soldier Picture with Iron Cross and Wound Badge

This is a frame containing a picture of German soldier, Obgefr. Schilling Christ with his 2^nd class Iron Cross medal and black wound badge. This set comes with his certificate of approval for the black wound badge. The certificated roughly translates to “The black wound badge is due to the pain or damage suffered.” Black wound badges were awarded to soldiers that were injured once or twice during World War 2. The Iron Cross is a medal that was awarded to soldiers for bravery in battle as well as other military contributions in a battlefield environment.

*Condition*

All items are in very good condition. The Iron Cross is slightly tarnished around the edge and the wound badge has a small mart to the top of the helmet. Please see pictures for more detail as they form part of our condition report.
