This SS Dagger has an immaculate blade with very good deep etching, there is some historic damage to the crossguard and handle, it appears to have received a very heavy blow which has grooved and bent the crossguard and damaged the woodwork on the handle, other than that this is a beautiful example with a dramatic history.

The original scabbard is in very good condition with light pitting and a small dent on the point. The blade features the SS motto “meine ehre heißt treue” or “My honour is loyalty” on the front face and the Gottlieb Hammesfahr makers mark and logo on the rear. This mark also includes “Solingen-Foche” – the production location.
