Here we have a very nice Belgian pinfire revolver impressively retaining its original case and tool.
The piece is a small pocket pistol with a rifled barrel, it is a double action with a six chamber cylinder and has a fold down trigger.
The pistol is constructed of nickel plated steel with a set of wooden knurled grip scales.
The pistol is well marked and has the post 1891 Belgian markings as well as the barrel marks that put this to being a pistol made to comply with German legislation. As well as the markings there is a clear serial No. ‘2439’.
The nickel is almost complete with some sections of wear.
The box is a hard stained hardwood with velvet and piping lining. The box still retains its key.
The set comes with its original maintenance tool, a small screwdriver.
~ Dimensions ~
The pistol is 6.75 inches (17 cm) long.
The barrel is 2.5 inches (6.5 cm) long.
The set weighs 725g.
~ Condition ~
The pistol is in an excellent condition for its age with almost all of its plating remaining.
The mechanism is in good working order and the pistol cycles well.
The case has a few cosmetic scuffs but is in good condition for its age.
