~ Scarce Circa 1800 Wooley, Sargant And Fairfax Flintlock Dragoon Pistol ~

This is a great example of an early 19th century good quality flintlock pistol by Woolley, Sargent & Fairfax, c.1800.

The lockplate stamped with maker's mark and "Warranted", the walnut full stock and grip fitted with brass furniture.

The piece has two Imperial proof marks stamped on the barrel.

The piece half-cocks, cocks and releases with a strong spring.

The lock plate is of a very good quality suggesting that this was an officer’s piece, likely to have been brought privately.

~ Dimensions ~

The barrel is 8.2 inches (21 cm) and the overall length of the piece is 15 inches (38 cm).

It weighs 1.35 Kg.

~ Condition ~

The piece remains in good working order with some age, darkening on the metalwork and a few chips stock.

There is some patterning on the frizzen and across the metal work but the piece is in good order.
