Here we have a really rather elegant sword cane with a grip in the form of a downward looking polished birds head, made from horn.

The cane itself is a nice British Victorian style bamboo with a brass and steel end cap.

The blade is a flattened hexagonal section blade with a blued foliate design marking this as being an earlier piece since blueing of blades went out of fashion in the latter half of the 19th century.

~ Dimensions ~

The cane is 35 inches (89 cm) long.

The blade is 25 inches (64 cm) long.

The cane weighs 380g.

~ Condition ~

The cane is in excellent condition for the age with a beautifully polished grip and shaft.

The sword has some loss to the blueing.

One of the birds head glass eyes are missing.
