Most probably a midshipman

Out of stock

SKU: JA_32723413 Category: Tags: ,

The piece comes with an exceptionally well preserved blade which developed a nice patina.

The brass basket is made in the French style and the wooden carved grip is copper wired.

The blade bears a maker’s mark but we were not able to identify it.

Most probably this piece belonged to a young officer, most probably a midshipman.

*Dimensions*

The blade is 58 cm long with an overall length of the piece of 71 cm.

*Condition*

There are some minor dents on the edge, as expected for such an old piece.
