A magnificent early edition double figurine by Royal Doulton, designed by Peggy Davies. Issued 1958-1976.
The two young ladies are elegantly dressed seated on a sofa. One is intently listening as the other is reciting the contents of her love letter.
The piece has a gloss finish. It has the standard Royal Doulton backstamp to the base.
