*British, WWII Period, Combined Cadet Force Cloth Shoulder Title / Formation Flash*
A good original cloth shoulder title for the Combined Cadet Force, embroidered in red cotton on a black wool felt backing. The curved form indicates it was intended for wear as a shoulder title, most likely on battledress or service dress.
History Note: The Combined Cadet Force (CCF) was formally created in 1948, combining the former school-based Junior Training Corps units of the Army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force sections. Because of that, this exact wording — “Combined Cadet Force” — should be catalogued as post-WWII, not wartime WWII. The red-on-black embroidered style is very much in keeping with late 1940s–1950s British cloth insignia.
Approx. Measurements: 13 cm x 2.2 cm.
*Condition* Good used condition with age wear, light surface dirt, minor moth/fibre wear and some fraying to the edges. Reverse shows original cloth backing and signs of service use. Please see photographs as part of the condition report.
