*Soviet, WW2 Dated 1939, Tula Arsenal Mosin-Nagant M91/30 Bolt-Action Rifle with Sling, Serial No CE4667, Matching Numbers, Deactivated*

A good original Soviet Mosin-Nagant M91/30 bolt-action service rifle, manufactured in 1939 at the Tula Arsenal, complete with sling and UK EU-spec deactivation certificate. This is a correct wartime configuration rifle with matching serial numbers and clear arsenal markings, dating from the early period of the Second World War.

The barrel shank is stamped with the Tula five-pointed star arsenal mark over the date 1939, together with serial number CE4667, which is repeated on the bolt, magazine floorplate and other components, confirming a matching example. The receiver also shows Soviet inspection and proof marks, together with refurbishment and acceptance stamps typical of rifles that remained in service through the wartime period.

The rifle retains the correct M91/30 pattern rear sight, hooded front sight base, cleaning rod, and sling slots with escutcheons, together with a period-style canvas sling with leather tabs. Finish and configuration are consistent with Soviet arsenal refurbishment, as commonly encountered on rifles that saw extended service during the war.

Approx. Measurements – Barrel length: 73 cm. Overall length: approx. 123 cm.

History Note:
The Mosin-Nagant M91/30 was the standard infantry rifle of the Soviet Union throughout the Second World War and one of the most widely produced military rifles in history. Production at the Tula Arsenal, one of the Soviet Union’s principal arms factories, continued under extreme wartime conditions following the German invasion in 1941, with earlier rifles such as this 1939 example seeing extensive front-line use.

Rifles dated immediately before the war are particularly desirable as they represent the final pre-invasion production period, before the simplifications introduced during the height of wartime manufacture. Although large numbers of Mosin-Nagant rifles were later arsenal refurbished, this rifle displays a notably clean and well-preserved wartime finish, with clear Tula markings and matching numbers, making it a very appealing example of a pre-war production M91/30.

*Condition*
The rifle is accompanied by a Birmingham Proof House EU deactivation certificate (2026) confirming deactivation to current EU / UK specification. The bolt moves and the trigger operates, but the arm is fully deactivated in accordance with legal requirements. Overall good surplus condition consistent with service use and arsenal refurbishment. Woodwork shows handling marks, scratches and wear from use and storage. Metal finish remains strong with clear markings throughout. Matching serial numbers present. Sling present and serviceable. Deactivated to EU specification with certificate. Please see photographs as part of the condition report.
