*British, Post-1952, Staffordshire Yeomanry Queen’s Own Royal Regiment Staybrite Collar Badges Pair*
A matched pair of British Army Staybrite anodised aluminium collar badges to the Staffordshire Yeomanry (Queen’s Own Royal Regiment), featuring the Stafford Knot within the Garter bearing the motto HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE, surmounted by the Queen’s Crown.
The badges are of the later lightweight anodised aluminium type introduced in the 1950s for Service Dress and No.2 Dress uniforms, designed to retain a bright finish without polishing.
Both retain their original loop fittings to the reverse and form a correct facing pair for wear on the lapels of the tunic.

Historical Note:
The Staffordshire Yeomanry (Queen’s Own Royal Regiment) was a Territorial Army cavalry regiment with origins dating to 1794. The Stafford Knot, used as the central emblem, is the long-standing symbol of the county of Staffordshire and was adopted as the regimental device.
Following the introduction of anodised aluminium insignia in the early 1950s, many Yeomanry units replaced earlier brass and bi-metal badges with so-called Staybrite versions for everyday wear.
The presence of the St. Edward’s Crown dates these badges to the reign of Queen Elizabeth II (1952–2022).
These smaller versions are correct as collar badges (“collar dogs”), worn in pairs on Service Dress and later No.2 Dress uniforms.

Good condition. Light service wear and minor surface marks consistent with use. Both loops present to the reverse. Bright finish intact. Please see photographs as part of the condition report.
