~ Circa 200BC Egyptian Anthropomorphic Figurine Of A Prisoner ~

The statue represents a Semitic slave prisoner of war. The Egyptian hieroglyph correspondent depiction translates as ‘rebel’ or ‘enemy’ enslaved.

The prisoners to be executed are represented in a knelling position and the ones spared and enslaved are depicted standing.

The figurine is made of bronze and a fresh hole has been drilled by someone at one point in time in order to fit it on a stand.

The figurine stands 3 ½ inches (9 cm) tall, is 1.25 (3 cm) wide and 1 inch (2.5 cm) deep.

~ Condition ~

The figurine a decent patina and it remains in very good condition
