A WWII medal pair comprising:

  • The Defence Medal (1939–1945) – awarded for non-operational military and certain types of civil defence service during WWII. The obverse bears the crowned effigy of King George VI; the reverse shows the Royal Arms flanked by two lions with the dates "1939" and "1945" above.
