~ Large Mid Victorian Mechanical Gilt Brass Singing Bird Cage Automaton ~

The gilded brass piece has embossed flowers to the base and a cage above with an opening door. Above is a suspension ring that can be displayed either hanging or standing on its bun feet.

When wound, the bird cheeps with a moving beak, moves from side to side, and wags its tail.

It comes with its original key.

~ Condition ~

Please refer to the images for the condition. There are a few lost feathers. It is in good working order, though the mechanism is a little sticky.

The case is 48cm (18.75 inches) tall and the base is 24cm (9.25 inches) square.
