A nice British Military issue Type ‘D’ survival knife dated 1984, Falklands War period. Heavy, seven inch single edged blade, full tang with hardwood grips secured with three large copper rivets. Correctly marked with the stores number 1278214, and the "H" within a diamond makers mark for Hopkinson of Sheffield, Broad Arrow and "84" (1984).
It is complete with its original leather sheath, which is the less common type with the ‘Lift the Dot’ retaining strap, the condition is excellent.
*Condition*
The Survival Knife is in good condition with signs of service wear. The blade is discoloured and a little rusted but has a very keen edge. The Leather sheath is in good condition with age related wear and tear and some of the studs are rusted, stitching is all intact. Please see photographs as part of the condition report.
