*Victorian, Copper and Brass Military Bugle, Indian Kumaon Regiment*
A military bugle bearing the badge of the Kumaon Regiment - a demi lion rampant above the scroll "Kumaon". The body is copper with a brass bell garland, lead pipe and guard. Most regimental bugles do not carry badges as this can affect the weight and balance and therefore the tone of the bugle, they were more likely to be engraved/stamped.
The Kumaon Regiment stands as one of the Indian Army's most ancient infantry regiments. Its inception dates back to the 18th century, and it has actively participated in pivotal campaigns of both the British Indian Army and the Indian Army, notably including both World Wars. Moreover, it holds distinction as one of the most honored regiments within the Indian Army.
