*British, WW2, Enfield .38 No2 Mk1 Revolver, Dated 1934, Deactivated #3*

This is an early WWII Enfield No2 Mk1* Revolver from 1934, in excellent original condition. It has matching numbers and bears broad arrow acceptance stamps. The original wooden grips have been redesigned to provide a better grip for rapid double-action firing.

The serial number D1 is marked on the chamber and twice on the rear trigger guard. The frame is stamped with "Enfield No2. Mk1* 1934" around a crown. "Cal. '38" is stamped on the top of the barrel, which has a 5-inch length. War arrows and crown inspection marks are present on the chamber, top of the barrel, trigger, safety, and inside the chamber.

The Enfield No. 2 was a British top-break revolver designed by Captain H C Boys at the Royal Small Arms Factory in Enfield, chambered for the .38 S&W round. It was manufactured from 1930 to 1957 and served as the standard sidearm for the British Commonwealth during the Second World War, alongside the Webley Mk IV and Smith & Wesson Victory Model revolvers. The 1939 variant, the Mk I*, featured a spurless hammer and was designed for double-action use, meaning the hammer couldn't be manually cocked for each shot. The Enfield No 2 was known for its quick reloading, thanks to its automatic ejector that removed all six cartridge cases from the cylinder simultaneously. Most Enfield No 2 revolvers were made by the Royal Small Arms Factory in Enfield.

*Condition*
The cylinder revolves but the hammer is disengaged. Please see the photographs as part of the condition report.
