Approx Measurements: 31cm tall x 44cm wide x 34cm deep

A stepped demi-lune designed room heater from HMV, featuring an Art Deco style, bears a label on the back. Created by Christian Barman in 1934, it was manufactured by HMV Factories in Hayes, Middlesex, post-1938. The heater is equipped with four stacked blades, a fan, and internal elements, all appropriately labeled and stamped.

Christian Barman (1898-1980), notable as the editor of 'Architectural Review' and later as the publicity officer for the London Passenger Transport Board, was a key figure in promoting the modern movement. His influence extended beyond his editorial roles, making him a prominent advocate for modern design and architectural ideologies during his career. A copy of an advert of the time is attached for reference.

*Condition*
This is a very decoratively pleasing piece and would make a great addition to any home. It is in good used condition with some rusting patches. It has not been tested. The serial no is missing from the back plate. Please see photographs as part of the condition report.
