*Chinese, c.1956, Type 56 Carbine Folding Spike Bayonet (SKS clone)*

Cruciform blade 19.4cm, 28cm overall
Marked "Made in China"

Type 56 Carbine Folding bayonet permanently attached to the 7.62 mm. Type 56 Carbine (copy of the Russian Simonov SKS–45 rifle). Introduced in 1956, as the name suggests, the T56 was continually revised by the Chinese until it was removed from military service. The bayonet folds under the barrel and stows in a cutout in the rifle's forestock. This differs from the Type 56 Rifle Bayonet as it has a muzzle ring.

*Condition*
Folding Bayonet, locking catch with spring and the securing screw. In excellent condition. Difficult to source, as these bayonets were permanently attached to SKS rifles. Please see photographs as part of the condition report.
