A Staffordshire pottery figuringe of a whippet, or greyhound dating to around 1900.
The whippet is portrayed standing with a hare or rabbit at his feet.
He stands on an oval rustic painted base with fern sprays.
The figurine has gilt detailing to the dogs collar and around the base.
~ Dimensions ~
The figure measures 7cm (2 ¾ inches) deep, 18cm (7 inches) wide and stands at 18.5cm (7 ¼ inches).
It weighs 520g.
~ Condition ~
The figurine has some crazing to the glaze and a possible hairline crack to the neck of the dog but is otherwise in a very nice condition with no chips or damage.
