~ British Royal Navy 1801 Pattern Sea Service Flintlock Pistol ~

The 12" barrel is of 0.56" bore with small King's proof marks and the remains of the front and rear sights. The barrel tang has the crown inspection mark. The regulation flat lock has a replacement flint cock, it has traces only of border lines and Tower markings. It is fitted with regulation brass furniture and an iron belt hook with an inspection mark. The brass tipped ramrod is an original piece. The Walnut full stock has a makers mark to the side of 'BJ' and a storekeepers mark of a crown over an entwined 'GR' to the rear of the lock.

~ Condition ~

Please refer to the images for condition, the lock works well on half and full cock with a decent spring. There are normal handling marks but no splits or replacement wood. There is minor wood loss to the left side fore end of the barrel.

~ Dimensions ~

The pistol has an overall length of 49 cm (19.25 inches) with a 30 cm (12 inch) barrel.
