This is a 1907 pattern bayonet, designed for the famous SMLE (Short Magazine Lee-Enfield) and known as the sword bayonet due to its length. They were used extensively throughout WW1 and WW2. This particular bayonet was produced by Sanderson in 1918 and features service and inspection marks on the ricasso. The bayonet is unit marked on the pommel with “KOSB R 978” for the King’s Own Scottish Borderers

*Condition*

The bayonet is in very good condition with light pitting and small chips to the grip. Please see pictures for more detail as they form part of our condition report.
