Victorian Walnut Veneered Oak Writing Slope

~ Victorian Writing Slope ~

The case is of walnut with veneered oak with a brass escutcheon plate to the top. Inside is a single glass ink bottle, a gilt black leather writing slope with compartment underneath and a removable pen rest. The lid has banded parquetry inlay to the edge.

~ Condition ~

There is wear to the exterior and the leather pad. The key is missing.

~ Dimensions ~

The writing slope is 35 cm (14 inches) wide, 23 cm (9 inches) deep and 15 cm (6 inches) tall.
